Glow & Grow Girls creates self-esteem kits, uplifting resources, and video tutorials that help girls ages 8 to 12 discover their voice and strengthen their sense of self.
About Glow & Grow
My Gold Award project addresses the lack of confidence-building resources for underprivileged girls. While many programs provide hygiene kits and basic supplies, few focus on self-expression, identity, and self-esteem.
Self-Esteem Kits
Curated kits with skincare, makeup basics, affirmation cards, journals, and self-care items designed to help girls feel beautiful, capable, and cared for.
Inspiring Videos
Simple tutorials on skincare, makeup basics, journaling, and confidence-building practices that girls can revisit anytime they need encouragement.
Girls Ages 8 to 12
Focused on helping young girls, especially pre-teens ("tweens") who are often overlooked and need support the most.
Our First Glow & Grow Event
A beautiful day of confidence, self-care, skincare education, and community support.
Glow & Grow Girls proudly hosted its first Glow & Grow Event for 16 amazing young girls on June 24, 2026, at The Castle in Lexington, North Carolina. Together, the girls enjoyed an afternoon of self-care, skincare education, confidence-building activities, personalized Self-Esteem Kits, and plenty of fun.
A special thank you to Katelyn Hall, our agency partner, for making the entire event possible, Jennifer McCollum for leading our confidence-building session, and our wonderful LUSH team, Zoe Richardson and Hannah Finney, for making the skincare experience both educational and memorable.
